I, Viola Balzaretti, the founder of Ride the Change, wholeheartedly pledge to contribute to:

• The Safe night programme at Women's Refuge for women and children which includes a safe, clean bed, hot meals, secure transport, supportive staff, 24/7 crisis line, and helpful advice. Or,
• Rainbow YOUTH non-profit organisation towards creating social change by providing support, information, resources and advocacy for queer, gender diverse, takatāpui and intersex young people across Aotearoa

for every new customer who joins the career coaching program. This commitment is grounded in the values we share of supporting women, the rainbow community, and promoting their safety, empowerment, and well-being.

Recognizing the critical need to address the challenges faced by women and all the rainbow community, particularly those seeking safety from difficult circumstances, I believe it is our responsibility to contribute to their support and upliftment. I understand the immense value that women and the rainbow community bring to our society and the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive in.

By dedicating resources and actively engaging in this pledge, I aim to make a positive impact on the lives of women and members of the rainbow community who have experienced hardship, abuse, or are in need of a secure refuge and support. This collaboration with the two non-profit organizations specified above will help provide essential services, resources, and support to these amazing people, aiding them in their journey towards healing, independence, and empowerment.

As part of this pledge, I commit to the following actions:

1. For every new customer who enrols in our career coaching program, I will donate $20 to one of the non-profit organizations listed above that align with Ride The Change mission and values.

2. I believe in the power of collective impact and will double down on my donation when a new customer also chooses to donate $20 at the start of their coaching program so that, together, we can triplicate our impact!

3. I will maintain transparency by sharing periodic updates on the donations made, ensuring that our customers and supporters are aware of the positive impact their participation has on the lives of women and young people in need.

4. I will actively seek opportunities to collaborate with these non-profit organizations, offering expertise, resources, and guidance to help women and people of the rainbow community regain their confidence, acquire essential skills, and succeed in their chosen career paths.

5. I will continue to advocate for the rights and well-being of women and all people of the rainbow community raising awareness about the challenges they face and promoting gender equality within our community and beyond.

Through this pledge, I hope to create a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of women and rainbow people seeking safety and support. I invite Ride The Change customers, partners, and community to join me in this commitment and help me uplift and empower women and members of the rainbow community, enabling them to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
